Cost of Dental Implants – Beverly Hills, CA
Invest in Your Smile and Oral Health
Have you been missing teeth for a while now? Perhaps you’ve considered getting dental implants, but you’re concerned about how much they cost. There is no fixed cost of receiving implants because each and every case differs. Several factors must be taken into account when developing a treatment plan and cost for your unique smile. However, you can rest easy knowing that dental implants are well worth every penny. Keep reading below to learn more about the cost of dental implants and how you can invest in your smile and oral health without breaking the bank.
Types of Dental Implants
The primary factor affecting your treatment cost is the number of implants you’re receiving, as well as the type of restoration you’ll need. If you only need to replace one missing tooth, Dr. Julie Valentine can place a single implant in your jawbone and top it with a lifelike porcelain crown. For multiple missing teeth in a row, an implant can be installed at either end of the gap in your grin, with a dental bridge filling up the space. Even if you’re missing an entire arch of pearly whites, we can place four to eight implants throughout your jaw to retain a denture.
What are the Stages of Dental Implant Treatment?
Receiving dental implants will take several appointments over the course of a few months. At your initial consultation, Dr. Valentine will take detailed x-rays to determine exactly where your implants will be placed. We may also discover that you need preliminary treatments first, like a bone graft or gum disease therapy.
During the implant surgery, Dr. Valentine will place the titanium posts directly into your jawbone. Over the next three to six months, your jawbone will grow around the implants until they are essentially one and the same. Then, you’ll return to our office for another minor surgery to place the abutments, which are metal connector pieces that allow your crown, bridge, or denture to be attached to your implant. After you’ve healed from that, you’ll schedule another appointment to receive your restoration and finally complete your smile.
Are Dental Implants Worth the Investment?
Yes! While dental implants may come with a higher initial price tag than traditional bridges or dentures, they can actually save you money in the long run. Provided you properly maintain them, implants can last for several decades, possibly even a lifetime. This saves you money and time that you’d normally spend getting your denture or bridge replaced. Dental implants also offer incredible benefits over other options, such as jawbone preservation that keeps your face looking young. The vast majority of our patients find that implants are well worth the investment.
Does My Dental Insurance Cover Dental Implants?
Unfortunately, most dental insurance carriers don’t cover the entire cost of dental implants. However, our friendly team is more than happy to work with your policy to maximize your benefits and reduce your out-of-pocket costs. We may find that your insurance covers other parts of your treatment, like your consultation or preliminary procedures.
